The CSL championship game has a tough act to follow after No. 17 New Trier (21-5, 8-2 CSL) pulled off a 93-84 thrilling overtime victory over Niles North (18-8, 7-3 CSL) in Skokie on Tuesday. Although his team was on the cruel end of the stick, junior Lorenzo Dillard had a game to remember as he scored 45 points and the game-tying shot at the end of regulation.

A 13-0 run in the third quarter brought Alcott back from down 10 points into the lead for good in their 62-55 victory over Guerin in their Class 2A Gordon Tech Regional Quarterfinal on Tuesday night. Junior Michael Pearson led the Lightning with 14 points with sophomore Emrick Cabral contributing 13. Guerin’s sophomore Anthony Marra scored a game-high 16 points in the contest.

Hooker got Dwight moving in the first half, but it was Troy Hogan who provided the key plays and points in the fourth quarter Monday night as the Trojans earned a 48-47 quarterfinal victory over Wilmington in the Class 2A Seneca Regional.
